Yesterday
It just dawned upon me the true purpose
Of this tough and uneven journey
"Authority doesn't mean leadership, it just gives you the opportunity to be one."
And if you don't take the lead
You're just another ordinary person

I've learnt that
Countless matters demand maturity
Although it may not appear so
But maturity brings about calmness
The ability to think straight no matter how stressful the situation is
Rashness doesn't get you anywhere
And probably even further from your destination
In the heat of the moment
Anything and everything you've done
Could diminish just like that

Misunderstandings
The area where conflicts begin
And it is of the essence
To clear things up
When there are doubts or disagreements
Also not to neglect my own studies
The need for prioritization and time management
"不能正己，焉能化人"

Although majority will maintain
That given the countless obstacles
And previous mistakes we had to amend
We've done a great job
Because I thought so too
We've overcome the odds
And broken through 40 years of council
When many plotted our downfall
That alone could have been our pride
But as we look upon how much we've done
It shows how much more we are capable of

As we embark on the final lap of our journey
Though most of us will feel like giving up
"It wouldn't even affect us, why should we care?"
But I remember that
We were once victims of this mentality
And we're in the position to stop it
In this final two months
It's do or die
Maybe not for 40th
But certainly for 41st
To provide the aid we never received
"好的开始就是成功的一半"

Last but not least
It might seem as though we've wasted our time and effort
Persevering and giving our all
But the experience we take away with us
Is something nobody can rob from us
Yet invaluable at the same time

I'm a strong believer of
"Do your best, and be proud of it."
We've done well
But has this been our best?
Let's not wait after handover
Before regretting not giving our best shot
Amongst the dominant strengths
I've realised my flaws
But it's not too late
For there's still two months
Chiong Ah.

It was harsh
But at this critical juncture
That was perhaps what I needed
